My biggest fears when I was a little kid was the car rolling away while I was in it. I actually had lots of dreams where that would happen and it would drive itself really far down the road and then I would have to figure out how to drive it back. Usually i would do okay driving back but sometimes I would crash.
I think this relates to the novel by the fact that its out of control without adults.
Were you scared of the car rolling away because of your dreams? That would definitely scare me too especially if I crashed in my dreams and was a little kid driving hah.
